Allowing SSO detection on Google Chrome, Edge and Firefox

For SSO to be performed on Firefox and Google Chrome, note that detection of the window must be done through Internet Explorer.

In this tutorial you will learn how to install the extensions for Firefox and Chrome to allow detection:

  • On a local workstation by downloading the extension from the browser
  • Globally by Adding it to your Group Policy Objects on your Windows serve

Installing the Chrome Extension

For the Chrome extension to work properly, the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 (32-bit) redistributable must be installed on each workstation where the extension is installed.

  • The Google Chrome Web browser must be installed on the workstation(s).

The Chrome extension can be installed in two ways:

  • Globally, through GPO
  • Locally, from the Chrome Web Store on each workstation:

At the end of the installation, restart Google Chrome and Enterprise SSO.

Local Installation

You can install the Chrome extension independently on each workstation via the Chrome Web Store.
The extension is activated only for the user connected to his running session. If other users want to use the extension, they must install it on their own sessions.
