Evidian and Prim’X Technologies announce a partnership to validate an end-to-end data protection solution
PARIS – Evidian, the European identity and access management leader, and Prim’X Technogies, the French user data encryption specialist, announce a cooperation aimed at integrating their Evidian Enterprise SSO and Prim’X Cryhod products.
The solution integrating the Evidian and Prim’X products ensures unified protection for data and application access. Users authenticate with the Prim’X Cryhod solution when their PC is turned on, and can then access their environment and password-protected applications without having to re-enter login / passwords thanks to Evidian Authentication Manager and Evidian Enterprise SSO. For strengthened access control, the solution enables initial smart-card authentication when the PC is turned on.
This cooperation between Prim’X and Evidian is established in answer to many customers who demanded that application access control be complemented with the protection of user data that resides in part on the workstation. An advantage of the integration between Evidian Enterprise SSO and Prim’X Cryhod is that it doesn’t require users to authenticate twice – which users find hard to accept when those two solutions of these types are not integrated.
Prim’X Cryhod is an enterprise security product that encrypts the hard drive of user PCs, so that only identified and authorized users can access it. Highly secure, the solution is easy to deploy; it appears automated to administrators and transparent to users. This protection complements and cooperates with the protection brought by Prim’X ZoneCentral, which protects files and directories wherever they are physically (whether on the PC, shared file servers or external devices) and manages right-to-know. Prim’X Cryhod and ZoneCentral software are certified and qualified by ANSSI.
Evidian Authentication Manager is a software solution that simplifies and secures user authentication from any access location in the organization. It unifies the administration of strong authentication, which makes it possible to deploy biometrics, RFID badges or one-time passwords while controlling their lifetime cost of ownership. On the PC, users can reset their PIN code themselves in case their device is missing or malfunctioning. With this solution, organizations can create advanced authentication scenarios such as kiosk authentication with fast user switching, or managing PC clusters in trading rooms.
The combined solution is available today on Microsoft Windows 7.
